I just read it there.
I did like the hint of car enthusiasts aren't boy racers in the article.
Though as a piece of writing I wasn't really impressed with how the article was written overall.
At the end I was waiting for the writers thoughts or views/opinions on the matter, but he just ended on a quote from a random person and from reading it I get the impression he never understood a lot of what was being said to by the people he interviewed.
If your going to write a feature article you should make an attempt to understand what it is people are talking to you about.

Just read it there too, I agree with infamous, but at least it had a generaly positive tone to it rather than the usual moded cars/boy racers = a threat to the very life of your children etc..

One of the guys over on DTD set up the interview. It is clear that he did not have a clue what he was writing about and the writing itself imo was not great. As mentioned he didn't structure it very well with random quotes etc.. In saying that though it was a positive article in relation to boy racers vs car enthusiasts however, i can't see it as a ground breaking article that will be changing peoples minds

I agree with the above comments. The article does go in the right direction about the people who are owners of modified cars.

I'll echo the comments of the lads already. It's a step in the right direction but as a piece of writing it's not up to much. Still though, its a welcome change.

Yeah I think Infamous called it right straight up. It's poorly written, like the writer had absolutely no knowledge or experience of tuning cars whatsoever. Regardless, it's the first thing I have ever read that is actually puts car enthusiasts in a positive light. It does a lot to clearing their name stating things such as they don't really drink, do not feature in accidents or deaths and would cry to see any damage.

It should help the general public see modded cars in a new light and not assume that the driver is a drug dealer! Even a quote from the NRA CE stating that boy racer is a negative term. So good news overall! Oh yeah, and screw the recession and VRT!

Has anyone heard if that VRT has actually gone through yet? That will be epic!
