Sad to be starting one of these threads but some cnut hit my pride and joy and legged it, wing is absolutely mangled im an fooking livid right now. Left outside a mates house overnight

I have a theory and may identify the culprit later when there car returns late - anyone have a drivers side wing in decent condition.

Words can't describe how pissed off I am right now

What a complete piece of sh1t to do that . I know you had put a lot of time and effort into your MR2 sure it is one of the sweetest cars that I`ve seen . I hope you catch the culprit and see your paint on their car to prove your case . I`m sure there are many wings out there but to match it to your Cosmos Blue won`t be easy .KC`d for luck

Cheers man - easiest thing I reckon is to get another wing and get it painted.

Biding my time until his neighbour comes back but I suspect it was the house across the road that did it reversing out - its all I have to go on at the moment

I had the same thing happen to an old golf gti before I already had put a new wing and door and had them painted , then a week later I left it parked outside a mates house overnight and the neighbour was after reversing into my new wing and destroying it again:-) luckily for me the neighbour admitted it and gave me the cash...

Back on topic I have a cosmos blue gti16 myself as my daily driver and had followed your detailing thread on boards.ie you put an unbelievable amount of effort into her and fingers crossed you get a good new wing in the right colour ready to bolt on with minimum hassle

RESULT: My hunch was correct other party admitted liability - fuckin ate her but hopefully it'll be put right

nice one man.fairplay nothing worse..got my mr2 egged 3 seperate occations and it took paint from the car.the third time I caught 1a the shites and dragged him back to the house to stick his face into the damage..took all my might not to give him a dig into the mouth..rang the guards.he then ratted on his 2 friends.all admitted doing it before..the parents do not want to pay for the damage so itll be the small claims court for them..great feeling catching bastards like that though.fairplay to ya

IF ST182 doesn't have one the right colour I have a white one here you can have.

Cheers lads - waiting on a quote from garage wing isn't salvageable without the use of filler which is not an acceptable repair IMO.

It ain't gonna be cheap but I'll let her and her insurance worry about that.

Where are you based again Slips and how much for the wing? - may visit this option

got preliminary quote €1098 - includes a new wing direct from Toyota - all goodwill gone since note wasn't left.

The one I have is white, but I am sure you could get it painted and matched for feck all compared to the Toyota price.

See if ST182R comes back to you with the same colour, if not its yours. I am in Meath, work in Blanch and csan meet you in Dubland anytime that suits you. Let me check it and make sure its good. Yours has the wing indicators (can't see the pics here) if I remember correctly.
