I haven't really been on the forum much over the last year (or probably two).

It's been a great experience. Way back in 2001 (i think) Quandry sent me a pm on mr2oc.com. He had seen my SW20 Spider and noticed i was in Dublin, like himself. So, he dropped over to me, chatted MR2's for hours. I had been involved in MR2 clubs since 1999 but weren't web based. So, we hatched a plan to create a website for MR2's in Ireland.

Quandry done all the development/work to get it up and running. And here we are now, still going strong.

Met some great folk along the way, too many to list. Slipsliderg and RedMk1 were also two of the "founding fathers", there right from pretty much the start.

Anyway, to cut a long story short, i'm off to live in Barcelona and will be taking my 2 with me. It will finally get the weather it deserves !

Not going til mid March - so, will hopefully try meet up before then

Only seeing this now , like you I haven`t been on the site much in the last year or so .
Rob you will be missed by many of us who have met you over the years . I wish you and your family all the very best of luck in Spain , I`m sure you`ll drop in on this site from time to time and make us jealous with pictures of the Spider with the top off in beautiful weather . P.s. You can keep your top on though ok

Yeah, i'll definitely post up some pics of the 2 with the top down. Might be a bit of a struggle to get it imported as a turbo. I'm going with the Homer line of : "it was like that when i got it".

Toyota Technocraft done the Spiders and the Widebodies. So, I've to convince Spanish ITV (NCT) that there are the regular MR2's and then a bunch of bespoke 2's.

If/when i do get it registered, tax should go down from 750ish to max 200

Fuel is a bit cheaper than here. And then sun is a tad more plentiful.

Is Cars & Coffee still on ? I thought i saw a post about it being stopped ? If it's still on, i'll try get out to the March C&C. If not, i'll arrange a meet in Dublin early march before i head off.
