So all, what are the plans for your car in 2019?

Nothing too exciting for me. Will just keep working away and hopefully be back on the road for 2020

Buy a tig welder and do some repairs to the chassis and body.

Hi all, for 2019 my MR2 is going in heated storage. I might (reluctantly ) consider putting it up for sale. I work at sea so I'm less and less in the country nowadays.
I would like to ask if anyone can please recommend a decent sale price to ask for the car (not a quick sale)? Some of the members here have seen it.

A few details about the car:

-96 plate G-Limited coupe SW20 MkII Japan import
-One Irish owner prior to me that took great care of it (he was a mechanic)
-original down to the mats and stereo
-timely oil service and spark plugs (doesn't burn an ounce of oil and oil is always clean when serviced)
-Interior and exterior in great condition, mechanically sound, everything working, no rattles when driving
-Odometer 150000 km, driven around 6000-8000 km per year since I took ownership in 2015
-I always drove the car with respect (no racing/doughnuts/over-revving, etc.)
-The car will be deposited in a heated warehouse in Sligo
-What it cost me so far (cost of buying + restoration + mechanical parts) = €4500 excluding the cost of ownership. I have receipts for everything done and only people who knew these cars worked on it.

Any suggestions will be much appreciated. Thanks and Happy New Year to all!

Thanks b4ss, she was well looked after. I've seen one in similar condition and with the same mileage on Donedeal a few weeks back and they were asking 3300. Is it reasonable to believe I could get that?

Looks like a few of us are going to be busy!

Andrew K, that looks great! It's only a matter of time before people realise what a lot of fun the mr2 is for the money. I genuinely believe they are underappreciated right now and will rise in value (but I'm bound to say that!)

lovely looking example, pity you have to sell.
As already said these should be appreciating in value shortly, especially after wheeler dealers has brought these to public attention again (even if only on a go kart track

Anyway I am going to get mine nct'd and back on the road before april, it's a self imposed dead line to get my arse in gear and finish it (Been finishing other projects since i started work on this). Looking forward to it already

I would mention it on backroads.ie that you are selling it
Have you got a link to more photos?

I think the easiest way to value it is work out home much they are going for in the uk on pistonheads + VRT, check imoc.co.uk too, compare that to whats on donedeal and then go hunting for a buyer.

I have been doing exactly that as I am hunting for a MKIII...
