I have a few mod projects going, I'll show you all when its done.
- Dynamic redline indicator like in E46 M3s
- Mirror heating
- LS400 auto dim inner mirror
- Windscreen spray nozzle heating
- Outside temp gauge built into main cluster (7 segment LED)
- Instrument dials coloring
- Switchback LED indicators on front (No load resistor BS, CF14 relay)
- All LED lights rear (superbright to get revenge of those blinding Mercs and Audis brake lights and indicators)
- Instant cabin heating with heating element into the fan airflow (more planning needed)

I have an aftermarket boost gauge, that's why the voltmeter.

I may have went too far with the colors (?)...haven't decided yet

I'll go with 16 segments (5mm square LEDs) from 3000 RPM to 7000 which will turn off one by one in relation to the oil temperature just like in E46 M3s instrument cluster.

WOW how much effort was required to do that, looks like easily 7 or 8 days?
Did you use any previous write up as guidance?

Now you are going to have to do the heating controls to match!!!

It took a good few hours, but I'm in no rush, got another car to drive for the time being.

I used colored plastic document sleeves. Backlight is simple high power LEDs.

Heating controls are long LEDs
Along with everything else from the hazard switch triangle backlight through the fog lights switch symbol.
Haven't done the coloring tho on the heating controls, might do it in the future.

I don't have photos atm of that, but I'll take one. Altought this is the third revision of it, this is the least elegant solution as I used self adhesive led strips reinforced with snot gun (hot glue). I used 120led/m density strip with 5054 LEDs. 4 times 6 LEDs.
I'll let you know which led bulbs works best.
Since you got a rev 5, don't you have everything in red for the dials?

yea red dials but they are more pink these days - just like the exterior!!!

Well ,if the whole exterior is pink, that sucks Don't worry, mine is the same. Will do full respray soon

What you would need is red T10s for the instrument cluster.
I would buy 4 of each one of the below so you can test away. These will take a few weeks to arrive.

Or if you want to go the way I have, I can send you 8x3 short strips of red LEDs, (I have them in both red and white) but it will need more work to install, including soldering. These are 120LEDs/m density 5054 very bright reds.
I used them to upgrade my 3rd brake light. See below

Ahhh i see how you did it now - taking power off yje board for the strips!!!
It is the last thing left for me to do is tackle the interior lighting

WOW the high level brake light is very bright now - I thought it was bright enough as standard hehee

Indeed, took it from the closest spot. With all 24 LEDs lit, it only draws 360mA, so no overload there.

My original 3rd light was pretty crap. Still visible at night, but dim.
This one rules now
Plus the other 4 will be bright as well.

Have you done the quad light mod?
