Hey guys, just bought an MR-S and I am able to get a UK SMT gearbox with LSD for very little. I was just wondering if the diff will fit my 5 speed manual J-Spec MR-S gearbox?

On Toyot diy the SMT LSD diff part number matches the MK3 MR2, Celica and SW20 diff numbers so I would say yes.

in case anyone wanted to know it does indeed fit just fine, from my own vin plate I've identified my own box as a c56 open diff. The donor cars box is an -02b c52, which has an lsd diff that has a different final drive ratio, so just split my box, swap ring gear on diff and off I go

I didn't take any pics, but I blew the crank bearings the other night so I'm gonna 2ZZ convert it (I planned to do this anyway, just not this soon), so I'll try get pics of most of the process when I do as I'm keeping the 5spd
