Hi folks new to this forum but not the mr2 forums
My car is a na rev 3 in turquoise but anyhow my problem is as follows and at the moment I have had 2 mechanics look at it and neither have sorted my problem and now here are the issues:
Misfire (mainly on idle)
Revs hunting
Town driving at 1900rpm car gets jerky but fine at any other speed
Flat spot then sudden surge up until 2000 rpm (sometimes not always)
Mpg is getting worse too

I have replaced:
Sparks
Leads
Rotor arm
Dizzy cap
Coil pack
Fuel filter

The mechanics don't seem to have any real idea of the issue and I'm left feeling I'm just replacing everything for the heck of it....so if anyone can help me or if you know of someone who will please help me that would be great!!

Just on a offchance cause im doing it aswell at moment,have you had the fault codes checked on the ECU ,takes a few mins to do,and can be done by yourself,with just a paperclip,might help you locate fault.

Now I've heard about this and I'm not quite sure what to do....do you wait for the engine light to flash or something? Is there a list of what flash means what?
