Hi all

Ive been looking for a nice set of alloys for the 2 for some time now. Ideally i would like a proper pair of JDM forged alloys but i just cant justify paying over two grand for a new set. On my daily rambles through Donedeal.ie i have found the below:

cars.donedeal.co.uk/for-sale/alloyswheels/4015954

What would offset +44 on rear, +43 on front be like on an MR2? would they even fit without any rubbing? Ive done a little research and found a few different answers but nothing i would trust so i was hoping someone with first had experience could advise.

Also i stumbled accross this tidy Mr2:

cars.donedeal.co.uk/for-sale/modifiedcars/4103227

I must say im impressed with fitment of the alloys. Does anyone know the make of these wheels?? i have emailed the seller for the brand and offset but have not recieved a reply and dont want to be too persitant as im not going to take the car off him. I did however tell him to throw it up here if he decides to break it!

Iasked a similiar question a few months back and "infamous" gave this reply which i found very helpful and with his info sourced a nice set of enkei rims which fitted perfectly:

.............Its all down to your own taste and also what suspension etc your running.
Though you should look for a staggered set up, with the rears being wider than the fronts.
A flush set up for the mr2 mk2 is said to be 8j+35 front 9j+35 rear, though those wheels you put a pic up of don't look to be as wide as that.

For a rough guide...
Your should look at 7/8j in the front and 8/9j at the back and range from +30 to +40.
If you go higher or lower than these sizes you will come across fitment issues.
Like I said though this is a rough guide, if you see wheels in a certain offset just ask here and we should be able to tell you if they'll fit or not.

Cheers MjMitch

Karma click for the advice!

Cathal84 - That would make sense, i spent a fair bit of time admiring DShamrocks alloys from a few of the old meet photos about a year ago. I knew the car looked familiar!

Anyone know what wheel setup DShamrock was running on his old two? Im hoping they are not original volk/advans etc.. and maybe a brand i can afford!

Sorry just saw your pm, Yes thats right, I'll try and find out what size tyres I had on them because they were perfect as far as clearance to the arch, it would have been a slighlty less wide tyre than standard to make sure the tyre didnt hit the arches etc
