I have one around the corner from me that I will probably use, but I was wondering if anyone else had any experience with any paint and panel shops that do a good job for a good price etc?

I've used carcraft before for single panels and also to get the whole car buffed.

Very good work but never got a full spray.

+1 on car craft, excellent work and great prices, my car was rear ended earlier this year and they pulled out the rear end and sprayed and fitted a replacement bumper and bumper bar for €500, i supplied the parts

maybe I might get a quote from carcraft and try to use that to lower S&B a bit. They said 600 for fitting one bumper and skirts colour matched..

What I really need is:
Small repair to back bumper (fibreglass crack), then spray and fit
Spray and fit front bumper
Rust repair to Drivers side sill
Spray and fit skirts
Spray and fit spoiler and bootlid
Spray mirrors
Colour code or shave side marker

Car craft is very close to me so if you can arrange to drop the car in and pick up the car on saturdays then i can drop you home after you drop the car off and pick you up to go collect the car if that helps

I used a guy called Paul Lockhart (086 3827926) in Rathgar before. He repaired and sprayed a 1/4 panel on a golf for me for €450 just over a year ago. Good quality work too.

I'm thinking about going with SMG with a black roof

I like the black roof look, the only reason it might not be a good idea is:
1. higher cost
2. SMG is a pretty awesome colour and maybe changing it is sacrilege?
3. There's a similar factory scheme (silver w black roof) on '97/'98 cars called Sonic Shadow. Maybe I would spend a lot of time and money and it would just land up looking the same as that??

Not sure what you mean about the hard work ?? The Spider was a factory car , not a conversion (albeit Toyota took t-bars off the production line and cut the roofs. So, it was technically a conversion but it left the Toyota Technocraft factory as a Spider).

The only hard work I done was to earn the money to spend on converting it to a turbo, putting on the Greddy side skirts and a few other mods

oh! haha thort you had it converted (dunno why i thort that tbh lol) but yeah i know what you mean about the hard work to earn the money for these projects! i've currently got 2 projects on the go! and i havn't even started on engine mods yet! they will be in the next few years when i can afford the work and the insurance lol (being 18) got lots of ideas but can't do them all at once!
