'm a purist and think that something like a Spider should be kept OEM!

I like it Rob, IMO it needs a front and rear bar to pull it off properly though..

I know what you mean - but the Spider does actually have a tiny bend in the metal in the bootlid - basically just a crease/line for definition.

So, I was hoping this Toms lip would just be an extension of what was already there.

I think if you wanted a racer in your face look, it'd work - but I want to keep it with "classic" looks

Maybe if I lived in Miami or LA or somewhere, I could pull this off ....

I'm not really a fan of that smoothed one, it looks kind of strange, though i don't like most parts smoothed. Its hard to know what spoiler would suit it though. I want to change my rev3 but just can't choose a spoiler that i like.

i think it'd look well but if you're gonna do it then get a spare boot lid and keep your original so you can always go back to oem

Yes, I agree - I like them more and more every time I see them.

And you can make your own (need to be registered on mr2oc.com to view thread but well worth it....

For those who aren't mr2oc.com members, below is a wip pic - he basically got space foam and glued it on, sanded it down and laid fibreglass over it !!!
