TOPIC: help with wheel nuts

help with wheel nuts 9 Years, 6 Months ago Karma: 12
I have a problem that someone might have a solution to

I just got a set of 30mm wheel spacers for the back of my car,
However ! I didn't realise that they were originally meant for
a Nissan , the problem is that all nissan nuts 12 x 1.25 have
a head that is 21mm and I can't fit anything wider than 19mm
in the alloys that I have , I don't want to use those long boy racer
Nuts ,
Any ideas ??

You could grind a set down to fit but I wouldn't recommend that as it would compromise their strength and could be potentially dangerous for you and other road users around you.
So different spacers or thinner nuts are the only solution.

Use internal drive nuts/tuner nuts that's what I run on mine

I had to use those on the spacers , I never thought of using
them on the wheels , today I put open ended nuts
on them but they don't look great , if I don't find anything
I could use the internal system.

Same problem Dazzler, I had to buy a set of 20 Rays wheel nuts in black.
So I'd say prob use those long boy racer nuts Grinding and cutting to fit isn't worth it with such a vital part like the wheels.
You can get them in a nice subtle color like silver or black like I did.
Avoid the anodized Purples and Greens though

Thanks cashy,
I just realised that subaru are the same thread pattern so
i'll see if I can find a set from them , otherwise I'll have
to give in and become a "manracer"
