TOPIC: MR2 SW20 - lowering springs?

MR2 SW20 - lowering springs? 8 Years, 4 Months ago Karma: 47
Hi folks,

I'm considering on lowering my rev1 on lowering springs.
Not by much though, only 25mm - 30mm to remove a large wheel arch gap.
I would also like to run OEM shocks with the setup

The wheel arch gap is a consequence of placing Rev3 alloys on my Rev1 suspension.

Will any SW20 lowering springs fit the rev1?

Can anyone recommend a good brand for decent money, I see APEX ones are cheap on eBay?

Howdy Rex, I bought some springs from Fensport UK in the past. They seem to be excellent with Toyota performance parts.

There's a list of their Rev1 stuff here: www.fensport.co.uk/Parts/Model_24/

Although you might call or email them to double check with them for your own specific need of the mixed rev suspension setup.

Thanks for the info. But it looks like they no longer stock Rev1 suspension parts anymore.

From what I remember the apex ones are used quite a bit by the english lads on mr2oc. I think they give the sort of drop you're looking for and don't seem to be too crashy. I'm sure there are quite a few threads on them over there, might be worth a look

@Bommie, thanks for that mn. I'll get on IMMOC now for a look.

@Japohara, What make/age are the springs? I probably won't have interest in the shocks at the moment as my own are almost new.
