You enjoyed it so? I found it was into my second full trackday before I was more comfortable with lines and gearing for each corner. It's just a matter of going at your own pace for a bit, don't try too hard to keep up with other cars.
A bucket seat made a massive difference to comfort and handling aswell. I wasn't trying to brace myself with the steering wheel around corners. Gonna miss that with the mk1.
Yeah great experience - reckon a full track day and I'll be right as rain, glad I did the training though..it a prerequisite I reckon, a true insight into the workings of an MR2 and it limits
Yeah the leather seat was a disaster - I adjusted the bolster and base and it helped

I dropped in on the lads today at Mondello and I had a blast I went out with Slipsiderg and Tsporter I can`t wait to be in a position to do a track day myself everyone I met today was very friendly and they all helped each other out when problems started to develop , a great bunch of lads .
Great meeting everybody. TurboD for coming down and Skybound for dropping in. I will get you out for some laps yet.
Had to leg it to a college exam straight from Mondello and back in there this morning. I will post up a full report later today.
Guys fair play to you all, I think we all had a ball despite some issues throughout the day.
Yeah great day .... gremlins were hard at work on my car ....
boiled the engine oil first .... I never did that before
dump valve gave uo the ghost ..
air flow meter decided to give intermittent fault ... possibly wiring it the connector
then the tyres became no good ... got them very hot and now they are toast
sorry I didn't get to talk to any of you guys ... was just having far 2 much fun
great video of Revs taking the car for a test drive after kinda half fixing our leaky dump valve
It was a fantastic day. The SC went well apart from a minor technical glitch when the exhaust fell out of the hangers. Luckily enough it happened just before the back entrance and I limped the car just inside the paddock. It was so hot I decided to leave it cool and go for tea, and when I came back the mr2 elves were underneath her with it all back in place. Cheers Slipsliderg, murtagh and Pedro for sorting also the battery wire. It just shows the spirit of the OTD days.
I had huge amounts of understeer in her which I tried to rectify with varying tyre pressures but to no avail. The brakes also weren't up to the task, better pads should sort that hopefully. Overall I'm delighted with her. It's a completely different animal than the mk2, you can just grab it by the scruff and throw it into the corners. It's a lot more forgiving, and seems to give plenty of notice when it's about to break away. I only had one "moment" in her between Tarzan 1 and 2, which I know for certain I wouldn't have caught in the mk2.
