"3sgte oil filter is stuck and will not turn" - that is what I was fiercly googling yesterday. I was conducting a routine oil change and found that my oil filter was stuck solid and no amount of heaving on the filter would loosen it off
I had a dig through my tool set and found an oil filter wrench, however the combination of my intercooler piping and O2 sensor would not allow me to get enough purchase on the filter. My next stop was to remove said piping and sensor and that is when I found a web page (Australian GT4 forum I think?) where someone else had the same issue.
One of the recommendations was to drive a screwdriver through the side of the oil filter and turn that, however where the oil filter sits on the gen2 3sgte makes this almost impossible. Someone else suggested using a three prong oil filter tool which I hadn't seen before, however I was able to find one at Halfords (yay!):

Opening up the box and it's clear to see how this tool works, there are gears on the three pins which actuate them together:

They are driven by a socket - 1/2inch or 3/8 as you require:
