How do I remove center rear panel, and door trims? 9 Years, 5 Months ago Karma: 2
Hi,
The center rear panel on my 2 is quite faded, I want to respray it off the car, I removed the boot trim panel, undid four nuts, popped out the tail lights but no joy, it seems to be held in place by some inaccessible stud.
Next is the trim on the top of the doors, they are also quite tired and could use a blow over, any ideas on how to remove these?
Thanks in advance.

The centre panel should jus pop off with the 4 nuts off.
As for the top outside door trim roll down the windows to take the pressure off the trim.
I think there is a screw at the door latch end of the door on the rubber seal. It should jus pop up but I cant remember is the mirror in the way.. Unfortunately Im not near a door at the minute.
Just a tip. If there is any stainless aluminum showing through on the trim give it a roughin up with a scotch pad and prime before paint.
Have seen a lot of them sprayed and shortly start peeling again..
Best of luck
