Think we got to little island a little after 2 o'clock, there was a lovely yellow corvette knocking about up there but not much else. Was considering hanging around for the one in Mahon so you wouldn't have to fly the mr2 flag on your own but would have been just hanging around for hours so decided to head home. Next time
ya the dude in the corvette was at bthe octane meet der was a shit load of american cars der, sure next month again i will have a thread up when i get a date sorted
another little update on this, excuse the crappy photos off my phone and crappy weather to match! Bought the wheels below from Peggyontherun, really happy with them, going to send them off for refurbishing and then change suspension sometime in the new year once they've stopped salting the roads
right so lads/ladies, managed to stay off the beer this weekend so threw in the fog lights I got off peggyontherun, nice to have the option between the clears and the yellow ones, let me know what ye think
Thanks lads, not to everyone's taste but I'm happy with them, have the car heading the direction I want finally. Was considering a very light smoke on the windows as well, but don't want to drawing anymore attention to myself with the guards. What do ye think? I'd say it would make the car look a bit meaner once it's lowers as well....opinions always welcome
Massive thanks once again to infamous who played a big part in me getting these, you have been kc'd again! (you're officially in triple digits now, you must be doing something right! )
Will hopefully do a test fit this weekend and see if arches need to be rolled to to get the volks to fit, then it'll be off to get the wheels refurbed once i'm happy with the fit :) watch this space ;)
will hopefully get the springs fitted this weekend so will throw up some pics if I do, didn't go near the car last weekend because I was at a stag in Killarney and still not right after it
Decided to throw together a home made mount for my iPhone 3gs so I'd have the option of taking videos if I felt the need. Just bodged something together using the box the phone came in for now, plan to make up a nice snug mount to fit in the top section of the cd holder cubby thing between the driver and passenger seats. For now here's a quick test video and i will post the pics when I have the more permanent one made up. Vid quality isn't the best as its an oldphone but instead of forking out a few hundred euro for a GoPro camera this will do as it cost me nothing
haha won't be selling them just yet haven't fitted the springs yet, haven't had much time, absolutely killing me knowing they're just sitting in the box because I'm waiting to test fit the wheels with the springs before I send them of for re-furb hopefully next weekend, but I've said that every weekend since I got them
Send them springs down to me I won't b long testing them I'm jus dying to get things done jus hard to wit this depressing weather.. well I can't wait to see them on her.. Wonder wat the shocks will b like wit them springs will they b loose I wonder that's the thing about standard shocks and lowered springs u could end up wit the spring lose inside the standard shock....
haha I'm sure you wouldn't be long testing them! following some advice from the lads on here I'll probably be uprating the shocks in the future but for now this will until do until the bank account looks a bit healthier I'll let ye know how the ride compares to standard once they're in
Did a little daytime test of the mount for the phone and quite happy with it. Looks like the GoPro will have to wait! Anyway, I'm pretty sure my driving doesn't deserve HD
You can see a little notch cut out of the inside of the box in the middle, you can ignore that, it was part of camera mount 1.0  _KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG
then I just turned the middle box on its side and slid it into the bigger one _KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG
then I made a hole in the plastic holder that the phone originally sat in, just big enough so the camera lens wasn't obstructed _KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG
You can see that you can press the button to start recording without any problems.. _KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG
Handily you'll find that this set-up is a perfectly snug fit in the centre console! _KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG
and when your done recording your epicness it stows away perfectly, ready for the next time you feel like recording your mr2 adventures _KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG
see Cozzy I wasn't lying when I said I live 2 minutes from the pier you went to the last time you were down! will catch ya next time
Thanks eringobragh, as I say it was just something to amuse myself and will probably use it in August as going to chance a road trip to the Nurburgring with the lads
