Cheers disco, What is your budget dude? I have mine advertised for €4500 but would take a bit less if it was a cash sale. I have it at €4500 in case I end up swapping it with someone that has their own car overvalued. I am looking for a car with rear seats like an Altezza, Is200 etc

I know the feeling, Not too many people parting with cash nowadays. Most people want to swap cars these days rather than buy them. I can come down a bit on the price but couldn't let her off that cheap. I'm not too pushed on selling it, Its more herself's idea as we have 3 cars in our driveway between the 2 of us. Her Hyundai Accent, my company car (peugeot 308) & my Mr2, so what we were planning on doing is get rid of her Accent and then sell or swap my Mr2 for a car with rear seats. She wont drive my MR2 because she says its too fast and low down for her + she needs rear seats for daughter.

I know its still a bit outside your budget but we are not a hundred miles away from each other on price

I wouldnt let it go for less than 4k either, When you consider swagger will eventually get near his asking price of between 5 and 6 and I got 5k for mine a few weeks ago. I think its a matter of you get what you pay for and you've more than 2yrs on the NCT, theres abuyer out there for every car

Thats very true Dave. If i dont get 4k for it ill just keep it. You got a nice price for your Mr2 dude. Did you buy a saloon car after? What did you get?

Yes sure it had a fair bit like the acv-r, apexi pfc, uprated everything, trd exhaust, etc but you need people to know what their cars to know the value they are actually getting, you could have 2 cars looking exactly the same but one could have the apexi ecu uprated engine etc etc so someone just looking for an MR2 would always go for the cheaper one whereas someone planning to power up would know they are getting value for money paying the extra 2 or 3k, you'll probably never see an n/a over €3,500, max low 4k for a beams and upto 6k for turbo, was looking at the uk mr2 site for sale section and its pretty much the same their but max 6k sterling

Wow 6K sterling is pricey enough, Very true though, If someone was planning on buying one with the intentions of spending another few grand uprating the engine they would probably save money by spending a bit more initially on a tuned one.

It's sad that you are no longer an MR2 owner , but I am pleased that you didn't have to wait long for the sale .

Cheers dshamrock & Marty. Hopefully down the road I might buy another MR2. I really enjoyed owning it and I am sad to see it go but we need a car with rear seats more right now. Im glad to see mine go to someone like Disco72 (Dave) who I have no doubt will look after it like I did. Its his 3rd one!

sorry for the late reply. but, oh.. didn't know they make this style of side skirt. i have never seen them here in the states. very nice and clean. i'm glad you sold your mr2 fast. but, sad at the same time for not having a 2 no more. hope you and dave get back into the game soon.
