Stolen MR2 - need help. 11 Years, 8 Months ago

My Beloved MR2 has been robbed one me.
They took the T-Bar glass panels off so just wanted to ask you guys if you happen to see a '96 White MR2 parked or driving around Dublin with the top off looking dodgy could you please notify the Guards - it could be mine.
It's 96-D-64033. A long shot i know but with the roof off it might look conspicuous in this weather and i figure it's worth a try.

I would suggest put up pictures of the car on this site and also dtdirl.com and octane.ie as well as the ones suggested above. Does it have any distinguishing features such as alloys etc? Was it Turbo or NA? I am sure that everyone on here would want to help you recover your car and pics will help people keep an eye out. |

Thanks everyone for all the comments - believe it or not it's actually made me feel a bit better, i know you can all understand how gutted I am.
It's not a turbo and no overly distinguishing features, here's a picture of it if that helps, happier times

The MR2 logo on the passenger door is fairly distinguishing ... I haven't seen one before.

Hey there will keep an eye out for it always around carlow/kildare(north and south) and dublin city west - > City cent.

Sorry to hear about your loss.
Was it outside your house? roughly what area of dublin?
The local guards normally know where they dump the cars if it's joyriders.
Last time i found my dads car parked outside the copshop. When i went to report it.

It was taken from the underground car park of my apartment block in Clongriffin, Dublin 13. The Guards reckon they might be stashing cars up for rallying at halloween but who knows could be anywhere i guess.

Makes my blood boil when most of us work hard to earn cash and save to buy a car. And scum like that do it for selling parts, for the craic or whatever

i'll keep an eye up round here in donegal, but also keep an eye on donedeal.ie people use it alot for getting rid of cars and parts just to be on the safe side

Thanks again everyone - sound.
No marks or scratches when i had it dwdave except the passenger side spotlight was broke. The main thing different on the body would be the MR2 writing on the side.
Exactly what i was thinking spidey - different mentality, i don't understand it - complete low lifes.

Do you happen to know what offset those wheels are? MR2 friendly offsets are rare enough and that might be something that could turn up a lead.

il keep an eye out in the galway city region for you im out and about most days on the road so if i do spot it ill post yea it should be easy to spot with the mr2 sticker on the door

I'm afraid i don't know what the offset was. Yes the T-bars were fine, just left there on the ground.

Previous owner with a key? wanted to make it look like a break in but wouldn't damage the car?

Check with all the toll plazas and see if your car was picked up with the cameras if i was you id put an add up on done deal as well and put up as much pictures on it as well. Just two ways of trying to track it.

this is getting all 2 common lately.. see nothing but ads up on donedeal about stolen cars.. this week alone 2 glanzas were robbed in the dublin/kildare area.. scumbags
