Celica 00 import brakes binding. HELP 10 Years, 11 Months ago Karma: 13
HI guys ,one of my mates came down with his 00 import celica , with rattle coming from front, soon realized it was the brake pads moving round when brakes where no applied.
Removed the old ones and there was not that much wear on them. Fitted new brake pads now the rattle is gone but , we have new problem there is a grinding noise when we apply the brakes, and I think the piston in the calipers is sticking. as front wheel heats up, and the car cant roll back if you know what I mean.
Any help would be great.
Cheers . dave

You could just recondition the calipper, but dont leave it too long because the alloy will get extremley hot as it is and could potentially burn up the brake fluid, Maybe ask "ECC" on here about it or try "camskills" for a complete reconditioned one which would cost approx €120 - €140

Here's a How Two on replacing MR2 calipers, should be close enough to the same for a Celica bar part numbers.
