As most of you guys know i got that blue mr2 with a rev3 3sgte and i finally started dropping the old engine out of my car to make room for the new one
Here is a few pics of the progress so far over the last week...
Enginelid, bootlid, sideskirts and bumpers removed

Then started lifting the car, just engine crane and a few pallets required :)

Ah thanks
Went well with my last 3 swaps cant imagine this being any different.
Im stripping the whole engine bay to do some graffiti work or some sort of painting,
I never did graffiti so expectations and reality may differ a lot lol

Good job. Some nice timing gears on there, any other changed internals?

Thanks, I got them gears on eBay for about €60.
The internals are wossner pistons with compression reduced to 8:1
Bottom end redone with genuine Toyota parts.
And the rest of the mods are 650cc injectors, sard fuel pressure regulator, walbro fuel pump,
Downpipe, chargecooler and an st205 turbo from a Celica gt4
I wonder how much power it's gonna put out....?
My guess is between 300-400 bhp

What pressure boost are you thinking of running at.

@peggyontherun- I dont like them sticker bomb stickers, i was thinking of something like this:

I dropped the fuel tank today to install the walbro pump.

Walbro pump is smaller than the stock one...

Got all the pipes and wires out of the engine bay, gonna clean all the dirt off tomorrow and then comes the difficult part, painting!
Pics kinda dark but thats the stripped out engine bay:

Not sure what boost you can run, are you going to use a standalone ECU. Quandry could best direct you on boost levels with those mods.

Nope no standalone ECU's just the stock one. I think 1.3bar should be safe but what would be the maximum the engine could hold before detonation, melting pistons or the bottom end going.
What bhp can the stock bottom end hold??

Don't know, wouldn't like to go that high without a wide brand / and good knock detection, while on a rolling road with an experienced tuner.

Yeah i actually want to get a wide band with a good gauge and have it running a little rich just to be safe.
I actually have a brand new genuine wide band sensor from a 05 BMW 520D, would it work with any AFR gauge?
And how much is a good knock sensor and what brand?
And would all them parts work with the stock ECU?
Im guessing ill leave the boost at 1bar for now then

Thanks guys i hope to have all the painting finished tomorrow if weather is good and hopefully have her back on her 4 wheels by next week if everything goes according to plan, still waiting for clutch and some seals, then it will be a matter of getting some soldering done and find a few little brackets and mounting the chargecooler and the rad properly.
