All them lights lighting up was the alternator broken, I got a different one and started the car, there was 14v coming from it and the lights went out.
It ran smoothly at about 1100rpm when cold but as it warmed up it idled like in that vid I posted and cut out. I tried to start the engine but it just turned over with no signs of life. I let the engine get cold again and it fired up straight away then reached about 72degrees and wouldn't start again.
Could it have anything to do with the fuel pressure regulator and the 650cc injectors? How do I tune them properly?
I got the problem sorted big thanks to Sean and Ray.
The problem was the 650cc injectors, i put my stock 550cc ones in and it idled at warm temp without problems.
Anyone know what psi the fuel pressure should be for normal driving at 1bar?
Its about 40psi now, the gauge isnt very accurate its about 1psi off i pulled it off one of them single use a/c gas refill cans.
And why did the pressure go mad there on the second vid??
Got the mr2 running properly but when it heats up and the idle rpm drops to 850rpm the car starts to smoke and i can smell burning oil but it only starts to smoke the second you hear the rpm dropping when the car warms up. the compression across all cylinders is exactly the same, i was thinking it was seals in the valves or the turbo but i had the turbo on the rev2 engine i took out and there was no smoke so the turbo is fine, and if its the valves it would start to smoke before the engine fully warms up. and the engine pulls strong, the engine was lying up for at least a year outside, would that have anything to do with it? anyone got ideas???
Id say it just needs a good drive to clean her out

Yeah i may be worrying too early, someone else told me today aswel that it probably needs to be driven.
Yes italian tune up
Ill ring the insurance tomorrow and hopefully have her on the road this weekend
Got the rad for the chargecooler mounted and filled up the chargecooler with coolant just need to send a few wires to a switch somewhere on the dash for the fans and coolant pump and thats it with the engine.
Then just have to fiberglass the scoop properly, really not looking forward to it
The smoke seems to have stopped
Im only running .7bar/10psi just to be safe for now.
And the people that had their car on a dyno, when the car is connected to a computer does it tell if the car is running rich or lean, and would the lads there adjust fuel pressure and all that or is it just here is your bhp power output the way your car is and goodbye???
Ive just never been at a dyno and dont know if they bother adjusting anything on the car or not...
I rang Martin Tracey there in enfield precision engineering place, had a quick chat with him, couldnt really hear him that well because of bad conection but he said if i book a dyno with him he will be able to tell me what the correct fuel pressure should be but he told me to set it to 3 bar for now.
Anyone else have a sard fuel pressure regulator on here?? if so what fuel pressure you running and what boost, engine mods, etc. please and thanks

Yes its 3bar but don't forget it drops at idle speed I had mine set on the rollers just to be sure of it
Yeah you disconnect the vacuum pipe before adjusting it.
I found this on the internet but im not sure what to go with, do i go with the 3sgte setting or the mr2 setting? but i dont know if the mr2 setting is an n/a or turbo...
so far so good, kicking like a mule
Rear right bearing went though, gonna get to it tomorrow. bearing cost me 105euro.
Ill be replacing all the balljoints, droplinks and anything else that needs replacing down there. my nct is up at the end of this month
And she started smoking again, smell of burning oil and blue smoke but no loss of oil...
Anyone have a chassis number for a GT4 ST205 clica? i wanna get some turbo parts since my turbo is from a celica.
That's a bitch. Hopefully you get it sorted soon. At least it's running a guy in my estate put an sr20 into his 180 And spent the whole weekend try to start it I mean two full days turning over must have the best starter On the planet.

He wasn't getting a pulse in the wires to the injectors both wires were staying live rather than one switching to neutral. wiring looked a mess don't think it's goin yet.
