Title gives it away my 2 crunches going into second gear irrelevant of speed of shift or revs
Could this be gear linkage, bushings etc or gear box? Im hoping its not the later anyone have any experience of this where should I start looking
By the way its a rev2 n/a
Cheers

Its almost certainly the syncros inside the box, a previous owner must have missed second gear one too many times and done harm. If all the gears were notchy id say maybe pressure plate or just the clutch needed bleeding, but with all the rest fine, its either the synco or the baulk ring which is worn.
U can put up with it, have it recondt for about 200euros or replace the box with a second hand unit.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!

Hey tony,
Just out of interest-did this issue develop over time or all at once?
I have a very slight crunch into 3rd, but only on a downshift and only when cold. I try avoid it where possible.
