Lads, the internet and the modern world we live in may have caused some people to be overly suspicious, but I think that sort of vigilance is as necessary as is a little but of fear keeping you from doing crazy things that will kill you.
Has noboody here ever heard of chassis number shaving?
It's common for stolen cars to have their chassis numbers stripped and replaced with another to change the ID of the car. This is as old as clocking!!

It can then be sold on posing as another car, a clone etc. The ID's are sometimes taken from cars that have been written off. Are you all living in a nice fluffy cloud?
I know of one guy being caught with 5!!!! (YES FIVE!!) clones of his car, ie, 6 perfectly identical cars in EVERY way on the road as taxi's all running together under the one license, tax, insurance, EVERYTHING! He was an illegal immigrant who also managed to pass his taxi driver and PSV tests, one month before he ever set foot in Ireland. This test is to prove your street knowledge. So he didn't even sit his own test!!! Then comes here and creates all of these dodgy clones and brings you around in circles. People, believe me, this is common, hello?

I would never post my chassis number on the web. Madness. That's good enough reason for suspicion AFAIAC!
Sorry waffle, it seems your reasons are in fact genuine, but it was a very odd thing to ask for and a lot of people where unsure of your motives/reasoning. There is a ton of dodgy people out there and crap going on and you just came on here and in your first couple of posts you ask for a chassis number, so please understand our position.
I hope you get sorted with your spoiler and don't post that kind of info on your car on web dude! Edit your post and remove your chassis number ASAP.
