Window stickers, etc 2 Years, 5 Months ago

Be a good idea to get some window stickers sorted out. I know a lot of people ask me about TBDev, IMOC and MR2OC because of my rear window stickers. I'd be glad to take off all my back ones and put an MR2.ie one up. I'll keep the TBDev ones on the side though. Although I'm currently missing 1 !

I'd be interested too, also a nice sticker i put on the back of my license plates would be cool, then i can reverse the plates at shows/taking pictures etc.

Good idea.
Also, might be an idea to get buisness cards - so, that if you see an MR2, you can leave it on their windscreen etc
I was thinking to just refer them to www.mr2.ie but maybe there are mr2 owners who don't have net access or aren't on regularly - if so, a phone number might also be an option. So, best way might be to leave a space for the phone number - if I leave a card on an MR2's windscreen, I'd put my phone number on it. So, whoever leaves the card gets contacted

Great work, getting the ball rolling quickly on here Also an idea if you want to set up a donation thing through paypal or something to pay for stickers or cards or whatever i'm sure a few euro here and there to keep the site running would be no problem for members

If we came up with a design we could go to sign/sticker makers individually. That way no one person is burdened with getting them all made up and sent out. It would obviously be better to have a single design so as each sticker is recognisable as MR2.ie

Hi guys, thanks for the offer, might come back to you on the fund raising but for now I can get the ball rolling on the print as I can ensure the right imagery/colours etc are used to keep the look consistent.
It's only 135 for 1,000 cards in full colour. He's coming back to me on the stickers but said it should be no problem.

I think Mark's suggestion of Paypal donations might be easiest. We could all do our own if we had the same artwork but if it is only 135 for 1000 in full colour, then most of us might only give out say 20-30 ? Not much point in each of us doing up a batch of 20-30.

My next door neighbour should be able to produce something for us if we come up with the design. I would be expecting mates rates from him as well.

Turns out it's 85eur if we only want 500 and he'll do the design for free. I think it might be worth getting the 1000 anyways..??
I can always put up some Google ads to recoup the cost of the development/cards etc.

I'd say go with the 1000 - we may not give out a lot via droping on windscreens but you might give a few to shops e.g. Proparts, CDA, Halfords etc and maybe give some out at Japfest, Dyno Days and other events we go to
Google Ads might be an idea but no harm to have the paypal donation button as well
What about a banner for Japfest - because we will have a stand/area. Could be a couple of homemade A4 jobs ? Do we just want to put up " www.mr2.ie" ?

I know a guy who can print photo banners on canvas etc, but it would need to live somewhere after the event, would need poles, and probably a few hundred squid. Would look the dogs though. What do you think?

A few hundred quid might be a bit much ?
I know this isn't the same quality but might be good to get us going ?
www.vistaprint.ie/custom-banners.aspx?pf...;xnav=pricingdetails
27.99 fo a 180cm x 76cm - then you add 4.99 for uploading own logo and 8.99 for heavier outdoo vinyl. So, would come in about 40 euros.
Maybe if Google ads and Paypal donations bring in some cash, then maybe go for a canvas banner at that stage ?

Have we come up with a club logo yet, as I might get some stickers done for the jeep for Japfest. If there is one can somebody drop me a PM and I will send on my email address.

We're picking up some cards from the printer on Friday, I'm on to the developers about a hi-res logo that we can use for stickers at the moment..

Good stuff, if you could get them to me as soon as you can I will hopefully get some large stickers made up to put on the jeep. It would be good promo for the club especially if we are traveling in convoy on route to Mondello.

I got them thanks for that. As for an idea on the style, I don't have time at the minute to figure one out. If anyone could come up with something today I will see about using that.
But I was going to just use the logo and maybe the web address (in the logo colours)printed out large format.

My neighbour will be able to do the out for me and we can size them up for the jeep. Looking at the MR2 Drivers logo I was thinking something along the lines of having the symbol on the left then the text following after it instead of above.
LOGO MR2.ie drivers
Fogive my reference to the logo, more time will be put to it tonight but it gives the general idea.

Ok you mean like a vinyl cut logo rather than a sticker??
I guess something that looks like this?
_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG
I asked my guy to tell me what font the words MR2 Drivers is in, will let you know when he gets back to me.

Yep a vinyl cut, but I was thinking more like this
_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG
and the incorporate the MR2.ie into the logo so it would read like MR2.ie drivers but without the www bit as everybody knows that part. It also narrows it down to be more like a banner and be easier to see when moving, while also integrating the name with the web address.
But the club and logo, banners etc have been your creation and I would not like to be overstepping my mark or railroad the sites branding.

Hmm.. I'm not really feeling the MR2.ie Drivers idea.
How about this slightly modified version of your first idea?

My neighbour is not there tonight but hopefully I will get him tomorrow and we will have a look at getting ones for the front, back and both sides just for the day as a promo from me to the club. Could you do them

Sorry I was on four different sites at the same time while trying to settle kids. What I meant was can you create a high resolution file of that as my pic editing software / ability's are none existent and email it to me.
Then I should be able to get a few vinyls cut.

Looking great guys.
I have to say for a club that is only two weeks old, it's grown incredibly fast.
We've 40+ Irish members on a great site, very good turnout for first event with short notice, banners, business cards, signs on the Jeep.
