Craig I asked the people at Hydra about the automatic gearbox. This is their reply:
"As long as the automatic has its own ecu and does not share anything with the engine ecu, you will be fine. The hydra does not have control of automatic transmissions."

Marty,
I just seen your post, must have missed it
I was up at Momentum and had a quick chat to Andrew. He wants me to bring the car that i'll be using for the project down to them so they can read the signals from the auto box/ECU, but reckons it can be done alright.
Hopefully get it down some evening during the week when i get a chance

Hi Craig... they would pretty much allow you to go up and down the gears like a tip tronic set up on a steering wheel... Not so automatic then !!!!
as i said it would not be a straight forward fit but is possible..

Surely you would need some way of controlling it electronically?

Will be up on Thursday evening leaving something in for Matt. So will hopefully get a bit of a chat with you then about my project and the Hydra ECU. Woud like to get an approximate idea of costs if possible? I know its not going to be straigtforwards, but even a ballpark figure would be good
