Jack is OK-ish to be honest I have one and am looking for one sturdier...but its TUV approved and there was someone on octane.ie jacked a tractor up with one.

The axle stands are a bit on the flimsy side, they are foldable ones..better off with rigid ones

Axle stands would be a big nope from me, the jack would be fine with good axle stands.

i have those axel stands , i never had a problem with them, i replaced the pins with bolts just to be sure their about 4 years old and have held up plenty of cars for weeks at a time they never bent or collapsed

All of Lidls stuff is approved by the same safety standards that any other tools have to go through to be sold in this country.
I have the jack and the stands for years now and never had any trouble with any of them.
The only thing I would say about the stands is that they don't lift the car off the ground that high when they're at max but its enough to get most jobs done tbh.

I have a set of them as well and used them loads
of times...but having used the gfs dads halfords
rigid ones the aldi jobs don't enstill much confidence in me


....anyway I wouldn't rely on just stands I throw as.much
crap as I can find under the car. Just incase!

I am happy enough with the ones I linked and don't question the standard of the unit produce.

But jacking up a car with a hydraulic jack and the hinging type axle stands would not be the safest thing to do if the ground has any undulations at all.

I often have to realign my axle stands as they twist off plumb when jacking up the car. I would guess (don't know) that the hinges might hide some of the missalignment which then increase the chance of the car dropping off the stand(s).

Quandry please ignore the fact that I tried to make a car land on me in Cork while removing a gearbox with a bolt still attached. I know Agusto and you could have lifted it of my cold dead body

My mate has that jack, its really handy that the jack arm point can be rotated and the jack operated from right angles to the body. Takes plenty of pumps to get anything up in the air but.
