Just a heads up lads, Car Culture Live are trying to book in 50 cars to this event, but Trackskills will honour the spaces booked directly with themselves before anyone else. If you are thinking of coming up, drop Donal and email at donal@mulsanne.co.uk and book yourself in at no cost. If you are not going to make it, just email him back to let him know and he will not be pissed in any way, they are very accommodating as we have said before.

Ricky they hire helmets there if you want one, dont know how much but. I was able to borrow one last time I forgot, usually a few spare ones kicking around.
This is looking like its going to be a good day, we just changed an engine yesterday so hopefully we get a full day on Sunday!

What a great day!Weather behaved itself and it was great meeting up with fellow members Ray (Slip) and Ricky, there along with regulars Mike and John (who didnt have a car but still couldnt stay away lol).
Our day went well, apart from a little spin by myself and a coolant system clearing out crud, Ray and Ricky were having a ball in Rays car. Ted was very impressed with the handling of the Mk3, it not being a porker like the Mk2 obviously helps out with that a lot. Hats off to Ricky for how well he went on his first trackday, in a car he wasn't familiar with, Ray was putting in great laps as well, his first time there on 4 wheels also.
Think we are going to have to take a trip to Mondello, a few trailer mods needing done first as we lost a wheel due to a snapped stub axle on the way there yesterday morning. But it made it there (very slowly) on 3 wheels and should have the parts to repair it by the end of the week.
Sorry we dont have any videos or even photos, I get to wrapped up in the cars when I am there and always forget to take them!

You dont have far to go Ricky to catch us, you were going rightly! It could be the mother of all arguments what make of track car you end up with, a truly epic Toyota Mazda battle!

Had a cracking day with you lads , well worth the drive up and back (6 hours) and will be repeated. I have no photos either as generally when I came in from the track I was grinning from ear to ear and may actually been suffering from dementia!! I have to say Ricky was going great guns and I hope we have caused the track disease to spread. Don’t mind them ol’ turbos get on track, with an N/A and drive it like you stole it till it begs for more.
The little MR2 performed very well but just didn't seem to have the pace on your car Weejohn. That is most likely driver related (I have lame other excuses as well) as I am trying to adjust to this new machine plus all the tweaks on yours seem to have generated a very quick focused MR2, well wear. Although I would be getting rid of the heavy stuff like the window switches and plastic covers on the doors
Will need to get the roll cage and suspension put in soon especially after Ricky caused one of my shocks to leak by looking at it, the fecker . Only kidding Ricky, I haven’t actually had the car up on stands yet to look at it but will need to do it now to check for these things. Overall I am well happy with how the car went and it has a lot of potential for me to get out of it especially with the 2ZZ on-board. Love looking at the needle sticking at 8000 rpm and she wanting more loud pedal. Need to find a shorter final drive or perhaps that six speed box Weejohn and build up from that if you want to sell it to me I will take it at the end of the month.
Pleasure guys, till the next time, happy tweaking.
PS Ricky, get the finger out

We will try to get down to mondello next time ray. Thanks again for the passenger ride in the mk3. Its clearly just at the start of its development and ours has more or less everything on it. Im sure next time it will be a different story.
Certainly got me thinking about mk3 cars. Much more chuckable on the limit, class car.

That box is where the car stays Ray so no problem letting us know last minute if you want it brought to the track someday. Think the guys who didnt have their white MR2 (Mick and John) there are closer to you, could maybe even ask them if they could take it your way.
Ted was quite a bit faster than me on Sunday, maybe he has got elephantiasis or maybe I just cant drive a quick as him, but I will be trying a bit harder next time!
Ricky looked in today when I was butchering my Starlet breaker for a new trailer axle, first and last words out of his mouth was "track car" so I doubt it will be long before he is bitten as well.
