So far what i found is wrong with it is:
OEM BOv was plumbed in incorrectly.Pretty sure i fixed it but wouldnt mind getting a picture of the standard one fitted to be sure.Also have an aftermarket BOV and not quite sure how to fit it.Windows are rattly,must have a look tomorrow.Boost guage not plumbed in.front left fog blown.Wheels need balancing. Thats it so far :D

It looks great, Where did you get it? Most painfull job sounds like the Fog light I was only saying to Swagger tonight that we need a black MR2

Ha, thats the first thing I thought, FINALLY a black one! My last two was a black N/A. Black is a great colour for a 2, gives it a nightriderish feel.

Fair play man, well done. Looks familiar, the photo, did you take that yourself or was that a photo from the ad? The reason I ask is that there was a guy on here selling a black one and all the ad pics had that same kind of brickwork in the background.

Anyway, sounds like you got a nice few extras. Sure any car you buy that is 10+ years old will have a long list of things that need doing. Problem is, if you are a fussy, modding git like me, the more of the list you get through, the more you add on the end! Never ends!!

PS: the fogs are a bitch, thats the only real problem you might have. The bolts that Toyota originally used, then to rust over the years. You might get them out with one of those special screw driver heads you can get for removing chewed screws, if not, they have to be drilled out. I had to drill out Daves (dshamrock there), takes a while and a few swear words but its doable. Give us a shout if you are stuck.

Also, there is a place in Naas that does 4 wheel laser alignment for €55! Great price.

Yep,and well after spending 6k on mods on the Starlet im probably roughly in the same category lol

Ah,good old toyota bolts,ive cut and drilled more bolts from starlet than i can count on hands and toes haha but i found something that works well...solid ignorance and brute force

Well done Dan good to see you got your first 2! From memory Paryan had the engine fully rebuilt so hopefully after a few fixups you've got a nice deuce coupe there

Yep he did, I was worried about that bit when the guy said it was rebuilt so i poked around a bit and led me here and i've read every single post he made lol

Rev 3 Rear lights
Aerowave Front lip
Cat-Back (still have to figure out which one)
Pretty sure theres a decat on it,ill get some pictures of it,doesnt look like toyota welding anyhow
New Leads
Uprated Manifold if there is such a thing
Better Intercooler
Up the boost(still have to research how far is possible safely on a non built engine)

Some form of boost control and engine management
Injectors if needed and a map

300FWHP should be easily achievable without forged internals. Uprate the IC and I wouldn't go over 1.2bar, but should get ya to 300. Dave had is mapped and jumped from 245 to 300. Mine was last dyno'd at 240, few bits and pieces to do and then mapping. Should see it over the 300 mark too.

Not so bad then

The 3sgte is a very capable engine. With the turbos on the market these days it's harder to build a 3sgte that has less than 300hp than the other way around.
