I got them from speedhut, I had to pay an extra €15 for them to be cutomised into 300kmh clocks and 10K revs, I sent a photo of my clocks to them so they had them done up perfectly to scale. try this link that they originally sent to me, you can customise just about anything on them www.speedhut.com/custom_gauge_dial_descr...-auto_number-380.htm
mnixon wrote: did you originally have 300km clocks? if not, will the speed still be acurate?
Yep they had the 300km clocks originally so all the dials look to be accurate, i was slightly concerned that their clocks maybe a bit out but fair play to speedhut they got it spot on
what I mean is, were your old dials 300km dials. If they were 180km dials and you get the 300km dials, if you sped up to 180km/h would it say you're going 300km/h or how does that work?
yep the old dials were 300km, the new ones i got made by speedhut fit directly over the old ones so that read the same, its the actual dials i replaced, not the whole clock etc so if you were ordering a set for your own you would just send them a pic of what your current faces(dials) look like and the make up ones with all the kms markings in the same place and same with the rev ones etc
heres a photo of my old ones below, the plan was originally to take off the white faces and replace with the new ones but when we opened up the cluster it became obvious we'd have to take of the needles which i didnt want to do, so we siply fit the new faces ontop of the old ones
No I didnt know that, lucky I just put the new faces over the old one's, although when I took them out they have a light up area for TRC but dont have trc on my car, when I was buying the car I was told the fella before me changed the whole cluster, hence why my mileage looks super low, how do you know they are rare?
Fair play Dave - you are committed! KC+1 for the write up, KC+1 for the mr2.ie advertising - lol, and KC+1 for the awesome windscreen cam, can't wait to see how it turns out, looks deadly!
oh rite thats good so.ive seen them for sale twice.they were made by a company called k's i think in japan.i saw a set for sale not so long ago for 1000 dollars.if i can find any info on em ill post it up.
No bova mate, really enjoyed fitting them actually. Was a pleasure. Shame I was under pressure for time, but at least we got the dash all back together before the rain (drizzle) and dark kicked in. I seriously want a set of those now, they look ridicously cool to me.
Are you going to mention your special feature with your alarm or is that a secret to be revealed at the next meet?
Thats a feckin mystery to me, its every light on the outside of the car, fogs included and even the number plate lights, all flash twice when i turn on the alarm, i thought it would be normal for side lights but not every light
Na thats simple, whoever fitted your alarm wired the flasher circuit into your light circuit instead of your indicators, like normal. He either did that on purpose or was just a dope. I meant that ur dials flash with the alarm bacause I took an earth from your fogs, which obviously are wired to your alarm flasher.
Its shit cool that your dials flash with your alarm. Looks GGGRRRRRRREAAT!
does the brightness annoy you at night or can it be distracting. they look sweet btw
edit: just seen they can be adjusted, Have to read things properly
All of life’s problems can be solved with two things—duct tape and WD40. If it moves and it shouldn’t, you need duct tape. And if it doesn’t move and it should, you need WD40

Dont know of a link to any guides, I just did them myself. I could help depending on far away you are.
PM me if you want help and at the very least I could have a chat with you and talk you through it over the phone. Its not actually that hard, but can be scary pulling everything apart. There is a very particular way you need to take the dash apart and has to back in exact reverse order. Shout me up anyway.
