I have a problem with my rads not heating properly. When we first moved in there was a problem with the pump in the hot press, I called chap out to look at it, but if I remember correctly he disconnected the pump from the system and left it without one. Now I think what is happening is that the system is dependent on the pump in the boiler but that it just can't cope with keeping pressure throughout the system and the rads are not working correctly.

So basically what I need is a 'mechanic' for my central heating.

What I don't want:
* a fly by night
* knacker pretending to be a tradesman
* gobshite who comes in slings some muck and leaves it worse than what it was
* a money grabber who will come -invent a whole load of problems land me with a big bill and laugh all the way to the bank.

I have a guy that we recommend for that kind of thing Geoff. My Dad's been recommending him for years and haven't heard a bad thing back so he seems to be good. He's a plumber but I'm fairly sure he does central heating, i'll pm you his number

before you get someone just do the easy bits, get a radiator key and release any air thats in each rad, Also if you have a gas boiler you need to look under your sink for a tap / valve, (not the main water one)if you open this for a few seconds you should see the pressure dial in your gas boiler rise
