Due to current economy mr2's are slow sellers but you could use this to your advantage. There's a clean mk1 for sale by a member on this website. I bought my 92' Rev1 from a garage in Cork fierce cheap It was'nt even moved in 25months Still she passed the NCT first time so dont worry too much about a car left idle. The engines are pretty tough but I'd say avoid one in a field or very wet places in general as the hubs could seize. Pink ones come back red too with a bit of cutting compound, polish and elbow grease Car in avatar is the one I'm on about and tis grand now! Happy hunting...

my budget kind of depends on wats available i would even settle for a rolling shell in good condition i would be changing the engine any way it wouldn't even need an nct really cause it could be ages before i put it on the road i have a 97 turbo at the min that i try to drive everyday i would just like a revision 1 with a rev 3 engine leave it standard on the outside and do lots of work with engine

you're right cashy it is pretty easy to pick them up at the min lot of people stuck for cash i might be lucky someone might have a rev 1 in their yard with a blown engine or something that they might part with for a reasonable price

I've a 1990 Rev1 N/A that i'm taking the engine and kit out of. Its not high on my list of priorities at the minute though as i'm in the middle of breaking a Turbo which is going to keep me tied up for a few weeks
