I have a coil pack for the V6 at home, AFAIK it should work on your tubby.

However I am in work and don't have time to check it out on the interweb, mabye the TwoBrutal guys would be the quickest to give you an answer. However I am not 100% if its ok itself but if it fits we can give it a try. Do you need it full time or until you get a replacement, and how soon do you need it.

I can get it tonight and bring it with me to work tomorrow if you want to collect it. Or you could go to my place today and get it. Give me a shout on the mobile if that help at all.

I actually have a Supra coil pack on mine at the mo. And because it's a Supra coil pack, I got an extra 852hp and my 1/4 mile time is now 9.5 seconds

Seriously - I've to give that coil pack back but when I say asap, I'd say I'm okay to keep it for a week or two

So, I'm busy getting the house back in order after living the sngle life (pizza, movies, mcDonalds, more movies, Chinese, more movies, PS3, more pizza .. ) for few days.

Might also check with Mark239 - he has individual coils now - so, he might have his old one.

Ah I thought your coil pack was gone FUBAR and you needed one to get you buy for a while, check it out with Mark239. As I said below mine might be frigged anyhugh but I am not 100% it could be just a earthing issue.

If your stuck you could borrow my slow coil pack but you will loose 3 billion horsepowers and gain 50 billion torques.

Getting one from Mark on Tue, so sorted.

I am still tempted with the +50 billion torque tough And of course, your coil would make mine sound like a V6

Have to say, fair play to Robbie and the lads putting that Supra coil on for you in the middle of the night to get us home! hopefully they'll work a similar miracle for my cam timing...

Yeah - and middle of the night is no exaggeration - my car cut out just before 1am !! And they quickly checked fuel and then spark and had the Supra coil on about 1:08am

It seems to be out by a tooth or two, they're not sure so are going to get degree wheels on it and double check how it's set. I was wondering if the exhaust cam was out a tooth before I took it in as the idle was a bit rough...

Get yourself on to summit racing and get a cam degreeing kit. Or, all you need is a good steel degree wheel from ebay, a piston stop and a dial guage. It's pretty simple to do. You can even make a piston stop from an old spark plug.

If they are using the TDC mark on the engine, that will DEFINITELY give the wrong timing - it is always out. My own was out by 5 degrees when I found true TDC with the piston stop.

Which cams do you have ? It is possible if you are not careful when putting the belt on to get it out by a tooth or two, but if you have verniers, you can usually adjust that out.

hmm, interesting, where you using a 3s or 5s crank, and was it the original pulley from that crank?

I don't think it would matter - I'm on about the plastic cover with the timing marks.

Out of 7 of them that I have tried on celicas and MR2's, none were right, and the best one was 3 degrees out. The worst was about 8 out.

It's always best practice to determine true TDC when setting the timing.

At the moment the car is over at TDP, they have all of the HKS settings/wheel etc and are going to degree it via that. I must ask Robbie to check where the cover is in relation to to true TDC as that's a fairly important mark for the ECU..

Hopefully it's just the cams and not something else..
