Has anyone here gotten an ecu re-map done for the horse p1ss that is Irish petrol? It's not for my '2, I'm looking into getting something else (to save the 2 for weekends). But owing to it's 2.0L turbo engine and japanese origins, Irish petrol is probably not going to cut it, and rather than have it run richer than a crooked bookie I thought I'd look into getting a re-map done.

Getting a run of the mill retune on a factory ECU is not going to produce huge gains to be honest. But I can tell you Turbo's looooovve Maxol e85 It takes a little bit extra to get them to run it though (you have to inject 30% more), but octane of 104+ and it's cheaper than unleaded. Get yourself a MK2 turbo! They're going for silly money these days considering how good they are.

Well I'm sort of looking for something with 4 doors and a big boot. The practical machine, which means no one else needs drive the spyder. The down side of the Mk3 is the severe lack of storage space. I'm into Kite surfing and golf and neither lend themselves to having a small car, so I need something bigger. Thinking B4 legacy.

Kite surfing and golf would fit in a Mk2 no prob, but I know what you mean. My other car is a Scenic 7 seater

o/t - but does anyone know of anywhere close to the border where I can get E85 (Coming from portadown/dungannon area)
