DIY Border bonnet ? 2 Years ago Karma: 165
I've aways loved the Border vented bonnet and this guy on mr2oc.co.uk /IMOC has done a DIY job and it cost him only £50 !!!!!

With this DIY job, he just cut and bent the two pieces down. Others that have done this DIY mod have bought a fibreglass vent( abut £30 on eBay) and had to bond it on, which sounds like more work.

I'm fairly sure I will but nearer the Summer. I've never done any fibreglass work, so I'd like to work with it a bit first.

Ideally I'd like to get a spare bonnet, so I could take my time and not have my car off the road.

Send stevetz a pm, he was breaking a car I was up with a couple of times and afaik he still had the bonnet.

I see that guy is planning on doing some flush headlights, it'll be interesting to see how they turn out, He seems good at that kind of thing

Yeah, if he gets them anywhere like MR2Lovers car or The Beast, I'll buy a set. I think I'd be prepared to go around 4-500 euros if they were perfect.

I must pm Stevetz and check. And I need a cabin light - might be my first fibreglas project !
