When I was in Texas I saw a MK1 at ATS with a MKII front end...

At the time it had a 5s fitted that badly needed a scrub.

Seems they put a ST185 Celica 3sgte and a scavanged rear mount intercooler in it now:

Ok it looks a bit of a heap, but that's sort of the theme of 24hours of Lemons. Basically the competitors only get a budget of $500 to spend on the car. That does not include safety equipment (roll cage/seats/brakes etc). But it does include things like engines, wheels, paint, the car etc. so for $500 I think they did a pretty good job!

BTW, with the new paint job it actually looks a lot better than any other lemons car I've seen!

It seems to be a bit of a mix between track racing, drift, and destruction derby with some comedy thrown in to the mix... :blink:
