seen it a few times down around these parts aswell and it was always manky.and the new bottom end makes me think its probably not looked after at all

i dealt with this lad before for another mr2 and i wouldnt be in a rush to deal with him again.When i collected the 2 off him he said it was driving fine and should get me home no probs he then spotted his jump leads in the car and took them out before i hit the road.It was only 2 miles up the road when i copped why the leads were there.The car cut out because the alternator was faulty.Only for me coming up with an idea to keep swopping batteries with my bro on the way up i was stranded.It was a lousy stroke to pull on a fellow enthusiast.I saw this car in the flesh and it looked pretty tired to me besides iv never heard of a bottom end being replaced because of rust!!!

Yeah have to agree, that bottom end comment put me right off as well!

Fair play to him placing the ad to warn people. I know its up to the buyer to make sure the car is straight but someone could be deceived by how well the car looks.

seems a shame that MJ is selling it after all that effort. whoever buys it is getting great value. Would imagine the build cost is much higher than the asking price.

I am sure its a well built machine ... But for me the joy of the MR2 is the performance and the handling ... Remove the engine and replace it with a lower powered heavy engine ... Well you just removed the reason I love the car ... Less power means less acceleration ... Heavy engine means the handling and weight distribution of the car is different ...

Dont get me wrong I am all for doing something different .. and he has done something different... and he has probably done it very well... but for me he has fitted the wrong engine .. I really cant see the value of it ... But thats just my opinion

not been on lately as ive been outta the country, i built the car for a euro road trip and it did it perfectly so im ready for my next project.
The diesel conversion isnt to everybodies liking, but its different!
its one of the only mr2s in the country thats an everyday driver as so easy on fuel, the engine is lighter than a 3s and i assure ya, is faster to the limiter than a n/a!
It prob seems like alot of money, but the build alone cost 7k!
