OK this is your chance to receive a free set of brand new Powerflex steering rack bushings.There is only one set to give away I am afraid.

Conditions.

You must have a MR2 mkII SW20 that came without power steering from the Toyota factory.

You will have to take some digital photos of the old bushes installed and the new Powerflex bushes installed, a before and after. All photos to be emailed to myself.

There is no guarantee that they will fit correctly (I am confident that they will) because they are designed for a power steering rack. So if they do not fit (more photos) you will need to re-install your old bushes.

I would need the photos within two weeks of the person receiving the Powerflex bushes.

It is up to the person who receives the Powerflex bushes if they feel confident to fit them themselves. If they choose to pay a mechnic to fit them then it will be out of their own pocket and not mine or Powerflex.

The entry is limited to the North and South of Ireland only.

When I receive the Powerflex bushes I will draw a name out at random and the chosen person will be contacted and announced on this forum.

Do you mean Mk2 rather than Rev 2? Rev(ision) and Gen(eration) are sort of the same thing aren't they. Sorry for being pedantic!

Where did I put rev2 dan ?

The mkii is the second model MR2 that was produced. Revisions are just that, an update to the same model.

Ok the first batch of Polwerflex steering rack bushes have been produced and are being posted to myself. A week after I have received the bushes, I will draw a name at random for someone to fit them to their non-powered steering rack.

The Powerflex steering rack bushes were delivered today. Photos of the bushes will be posted soon.

I will make the draw on Monday 1st of August which is one week away.

Here are two sets in the photo. Bizarrely the camera could not pick out the purple colour, instead they look blue.

It turned out to be a one horse race, but I am glad there is one person who wants to try them on their non-powered steering SW20 MR2.

Finally, I managed to get 3 hours to myself this morning and I installed these bushings. They went in this morning into the '2, between rainshowers. Thankfully the bolts were not a problem - I was dreading these given the problems my mechanic had with rusting and broken bolts when doing the timing belt. It looks as though the front underbody tray has done its job admirably well by keeping road dust and grime away from the steering rack.

Well there is a difference between the (probably 20 year old) OEM bushings and the Powerflex bushings for sure, there's a better road feel and a little less wooliness in the sense of what's happening at the front..
