NCT Fail, head light dip beam, was working when I left home,
Passed on everything else, was a bit worried about the emissions
as I had removed the pre-cats last week so not to bad.

They failed you over a bulb? That's ridiculous. Really is getting pathetic now.
Could you not have just dashed off to a motor factors, changed the bulb and fly back for a quick visual inspection? You used to be able to do that.

No, they have to retest as they could not check the dip beam, with the blown bulb.

Yeah, that's what I said. Could you not have flown off real quick and replaced the bulb and go back. A bulb used to just be a visual inspection, ie, they just look at it in the car park to see that it's working. There is no need to run the car right through the centre to see that a bulb works. It's all just a scam to charge you for a retest.
