Ok so I think its time to throw up the project thread,

So bought the car very cheap as the paint work is horrific, but it still had 1 months NCT on it ,
its an automatic , standard interiors with a fwe extra icey bits ,
I have a savage TRD bumper for it and skirts and rear spats, Im going to get a set of Black Rota Rims for it and maybe the blackend rear lights and a set of lazy eyes for the front ,

The interior I want to get black and Yellow alcantara , and get the dash done in alcantara aswell black with yellow stitching,

Was hoping to see a tanned lesbian but this is interesting too. It's nice to see that some plonkers idea of a cool paint job hasn't seen the car to the scrap heap. It's a great thing that someone with skill, patience and determination has come along to the rescue. I wish you well with the project and hope it turns out great for ya. Keep us posted.

thanks man appreciate that , yeah I seen past the paint job to a truly nice little car, all it needed was a good owner to give it the care and attention it needed , after all it did have an NCT on it when i got it so its mechanically sound , just some good old TLC and patience and time will get her back to show condition , cant wait to get her started this weekend itl be like xmas in the garage loads of 2nd hand parts on their way to me this weekend hopefully, new SD card for my camera is ready to go and all my tools are back in their boxs ready for this project, got my electric sander back last week aswell so everything in place for what is going to be the first project ive done start to finish myself in about 5 years,

PS heres the mad motors page for all the MR2 kit pieces they do , I have used them 3 times very good, they got me the R34 Gtr bumper for my civic,

I know yours is the auto model, but that engine cover completely destroys the cooling properties of the engine bay in the MR2.

Not sure if you know, but what happens is the air comes up over the windscreen, the roof and then creates a mini vortex behind the rear window, above the engine bay. This sucks the hot air out of the bay. Using that cover negates that from happening and your bay temps will sky rocket.

Does look nice though!

Ok I need some help cos I have no idea where these go , i thought they where for the front end of the skirt but they dont go there , im honestly lost as to where they go ?

Yeah they look like the winglets from Tom's Side skirts, if so that part goes at the front end of the skirts.

So that bit with your hand on touches the fender and the part with the lip tucks underneath the actual skirt.

Also I havent even gone near the car yet, these skirts do they go over the existing vent skirts or do I have to remove them completely,
