I pulled the drive shaft apart before too, there are 6 bearings inside. Use a crapload of grease to hold them in place while you reassemble it.

Well keep at it, it took me a couple of hours or a couple of days to get it back together, not sure lol. Not an easy task I remember that much.

You do know I have four Tein coilovers springs and shocks for sale?
Lots of interest but no cash buyer yet? I need funding for my own car!

Re: 2000 gt wide arch kit build 9 Years, 4 Months ago Karma: 40
I got cusco rear coilovers put in the back and lowering springs on the front , but the shocks and top mounts were fecked on the front and the coilovers are horrible to drive tried to stiffening them up and loosen them but they ride like i have square wheels on the back
So had a spare set for the front with new top mounts bought off anto a good while back for another car now have them in and the are fine just rubbing in the passo wheel arch
Back drivers side drive had to be redone last night as there was no play to move it around think the bearings were back to far and one coilover taken out caliper was missing a bolt also
So tonight is to take out coilover put back last standard shock in rear then i think thats it fingers crossed

Cashy id love to buy them but have not got that sort of cash spare at the mo missus will try to kill me if you still have them down the line who knows and to be honest i have had my fill of shocks for now

Im really liking that ol supra ! So difficult to find a nice clean example of one.

As for the headlights - dmac would you not consider painting the surround red?
I painted mine white after seeing one of the mr2.ie title pics, it's subtle but really finishes the front off nicely! Its such a visual improvement in my opinion it makes me wonder why Toyota didn't??

Re: 2000 gt wide arch kit build 9 Years, 3 Months ago Karma: 72
the reason the paint came off there is because its really difficult to clean out them little gaps from dust and dirt so the paint didnt stick and came off, the right way to do it is to take off all panels.
I wonder what other parts of the car they didnt clean properly, wait and find out as the paint falls off over time, that rear plastic part is gonna crack all the way around, it should have been taken off,
get an estimate of how much it will cost to fix and tell them to pay up.

Looking good dmac. Have to agree with spla. The areas that are peeling May not have been preped properly.
Paint work can be very finaky. there are loads of factors to take account of like how long was it in the oven for? Paint isn't properly dry for a few weeks after a respray. Some people even leave it two weeks to even apply laquer on a fresh paint job. The smallest thing in the prep can make an awful difference in the finish.
Seen as its from a reputable paint shop they should be obliged to sort It.

Or ya could be sweet to them get them to give most of a refund or get them to fix it for you ..
Then ya could mouth about them to everyone.
I know that would be a bit childish but that's what some people do these Days.
Hope ya get it sorted man.
