Where did ya get it done ? I'd be sending a slister letter only costs 60euro , see what response you get from that . a respray now is big work , sanding down to primer or metal and then whole process again , usually if the primer isn't decontaminated its like trying to stick paint to a shiny surface thus causing bubbling because of a tiny layer of either dust or a cold surface causing a tiny gap in the paint

AAA customs done the work , waste of time tried just ignored it, what i will do is just tell the truth about the work that was done to my car , now ill be on the lookout for a painter

Just keep after them or call in person to there shop ! I'd even call up with a few members ( maybe ) and explain how damaging it would be to there business if all our members passed on the photos to the backroads and other forums that were all in ? Oh really pissed of with ppl like that :\ here's a kc for all your troubles

Hell of a job loosening off all of those little bolts. I did something similar with a set of Blitz wheels a few years back.

It was not that bad quandry to be honest the worst so far was polishing them 40 per wheel

Wheels starting to go back together all painted but the lips need work not sure if i can do it right myself, anyone know what to do please let me know

There is some pitting on the lips id say they need to be sanded down not sure but there are plenty of marks on close inspection

I dont think sanding chrome is a good idea, they will probably have to be chrome plated again.

I refurbed two sets of split rims, the lips arent chromed.
To get the marks out of the lips you need to sand them out, best to use varying grades of sand paper, then polish the hell out of them and apply a wheel sealant afterwards to keep the dirt off them.
I used this for polishing www.planetpolish.com/ebay/prod_belgom_alu.png though there are loads of other wheel polishes out there. |

well lads car has been sitting up for 6 months now nothing really done on the car in that time just the wheels off and with lack of time and no motivation left im half tempted to sell the thing , have great plans for it but not the cash and drive to do it really considering cutting my loses here
