If it's turbo I would say between 1k and 2k. I assume it won't have an NCT if it was sitting in a garage. Looks well in black though.

Very hard to say what to offer without seeing the car. If there's no rust and the paint is good.
No faults, good turbo and engine then it's probably worth closer to 2k.
If there is any rust and the paint needs attention. Brakes are seized from lying up,needs timing belt etc then it would be closer to 1k. The body is all important on a car of this age. Mechanicals can be sorted easily enough but bodywork and paint can be very expensive if you want it done correctly. If it was me looking at a car like this I wouldn't even drive it if I wasn't happy with the bodywork. But if the car has been stored inside the chances are the body and paint may be ok.

I would pay 2k personal, even at that I think it's cheap for a turbo considering wat money some lads are asking for with no nct aswel, up to 3.5k/4k, if stored for the last while worth a punt

For way irish car sale market is lately, with the insurance, and NCT hasle, for that mr2 turbo that has no nct,and without looking at car properly 1200 EURO is what i would be offering if he needs the space, think about it,do you really want to be paying more, then finding out when you get car home,it needs tons off work, and money pumped into it,to make it road legal,to be honest i would never buy a car without totally looking over every inch off it first, take a mechanic or somebody from this club with you to view it,that way you will no your future costs, and can offer the seller a fair price, parts not cheap and getn harder to source good second-hand parts at a fare price, dont buy something that will turn into a money pit,get a true figure off what car will be worth to you when its finished.
Dont buy with heart, buy with your head.
Just my thoughts JOCK.

Thanks Jock, to be honest I'm pretty confident when it comes to cars and I'm happy with my mk1 at the moment. It's just the value of the mk2s seem to vary so much with silly prices being asked sometimes. What made me curious is if I was to get the car for 5 to 7 hundred would it be something worth holding onto. I kinda like the idea of owning a mk1 and 2. Am going for good look at the weekend and will be taking all my usual car shopping bits, magnet, torch, screwdriver and trim removal tools.

Just found out it's actually an n/a car with the turbo scoop added! Thinking it's not worth bothering with unless it was for buttons.

I certainly will. Last time he was at 1200 euros though but I reckon he will take less. He also has an fto just sitting there and an Audi tt.

I wouldn't bother with a Rev 2 Na personally. 156bhp in 1993... You're mk1 would be way more fun. The extra 250kg or so makes some difference!
Even if you got it for 500 and nct'd it to sell on, you'd make feck all.
