Since its coming into the summer months almost everyone has a few bits to do to there cars , maybe there mr2 or maybe just the everyday project poverty , but a project section would make an interesting read for everyone and i personly would love to show people how i maintain my car and how i have totally restored it,
I think alot of people could offer different things such as mechanicle knowhow which i would love to see , some people may have a track build which they could show photos of and keep us up to date ,
let me know what you think

Oh nice one, is it the 2.2 and what gearbox are you mating to it, I believe a 6 speed option is available.

have the car got(engine fucked)havnt sourced the diesel engine yet, but ill be using the 2.0d4d due to availability,
Drove a few corolla/auris d4d and there not slow(not 3sgte fast either) but plenty fast. Ill still have my own mr2 turbo and my 500bhp corolla 4x4 project so im not after power for this one just an economic everyday car. Thinkin white, white/silver split rims and some carbon(spoiler/splitter/back panel). gonna fit sound proofing troughout the engine bay including the lid to make it quieter and hey presto-a gorgeous mr2 with 50mpg and still do 125mph......
Now i know some think its just "plain wrong" to fit a diesel engine to a 2, but with petrol going the way its going, driving my turbo one everyday is getting expensive.

Hey Benny, here is the projects section: www.mr2.ie/mr2-forum/8-performance-and-repairs
It's not names 'Projects', but that's what it's for. Go ahead and create your project thread in there.
cheers

Just remember ventilation for the engine when sound roofing the engine lid.
Keep us up to date on this one. It sounds like an interesting project
