I was about to order a set of Vacuum Hoses from berk Technology and so, said I'd check if anyone else wanted one and we'd save on combined postage.
I've asked Bryan in Berk Technology if he can quote me on price for 1, 3, 5 etc
So, anyone else want a set ?

Thats the kit I am going for. Gen2 is a bit cheaper but we can work out the cost per person once Bryan gives us a shipping quote.

I'd be interested in that for the Rev2. Good enough price too.

Cool - hopefully Bryan will have the prices for me this evening and I'll update in the morning.
Will have to work out if its more economical to post in smaller batches to try avoid import duty. Have to see the postage savings first.

I would have been all over this only that I will be swapping in my RMR intake manifold once the engine has been run in. My vacuum plumbing will be a lot different to how Toyota did it.

Okay, here's the reply re shipping and other colours :
If I were to ship 3 kits the shipping total would come to $49 USD. This would all have to come in one package and then in Ireland they would have to be shipped out again using your domestic shipping services. Unfortunately we only offer these in red or black.
In the off chance, have you guys thought about purchasing one MR2 exhaust system? Inside that box I can fit the following items inside and they would essentially ride along for free. If you can put together an order with the exhaust + $300 worth of other items I can pay for some of the cost of shipping. You would pay a flat rate of $100 for shipping.
1. 1 Downpipe
2. 1pc Upper IC pipe
3. 5-6 vac line kits
Just thought that I’d offer that out there.
Regards,
Bryan

Actually, if its $49 shipping for 3 (and thats sent to the one address), then its $45 x 3 = $135. IF we get hit with VAT on the kits, that goes to $164. Plus $49 shipping = $213. At about 1.25 FX rate is 170.4 euros. So, 56.80 euros each ......
Alternatively, I've used Kelsport before and they do hose kits (not specifically for the 2 but various hose sizes). The kits are red or blue but they do sell purple hose as well separately ! And prices are much cheaper

Ok, just had a good look through that Spidey.
That is WAAAY cheaper. I dont mind cutting it to lenght myself. What is a kit only someone else cutting up a lenght into pieces for you? I would rather 4M for 8.99 plus delivery and cut it myself. Plus it means Glenner gets his pink!
This way, is a lot cheaper, no chance of customs duty, faster delivery...much better all round.
If we order as one and have it delivered as one, big delivery saving too. It can be dished out at a meet or whatever.
Is 8mm right for the MR2 vac lines?
If so, im willing to proceed. Do you want to order and ill give you the cash?
PS: Some chancer in Berk, buy an EXHAUST to save on shipping. What a sales guy huh?

I think the small vacuum hoses are either 4 or 5mm ID. I was going to get a kit for myself and get say 5/6/8 and 10mm ID.
Might have to measure the different hoses and see. Not sure I'll get to it tonight though.

Spidey I was looking through some old posts, but I couldn't find the rev 3 measurments. If you have vernier calipers, it's just a case of measuring the internal bore. Take off one hose at a time, measure it and re-install so you don't forget where they go. Don't forget those hoses underneath the intake manifold.

I was actually looking for my vernier calipers last week but they've gone AWOL - so, ordered a new one yesterday on ebay.
I'll hopefully get them measured in the next few days.

Got a few sizes from MR2oc.com for genII
TVV to VAC 27" of 4mm ID
TVV to TB 27" of 4mm ID
TB to Throttle Opener 8" of 4mm ID
TB to EGR VAC 9" of 4mm ID (1 of 2)
TB to EGR VAC 9" of 4mm ID (2 of 2)
EGR to VSV 27" of 4mm ID
EGR to EGR VAC 6" of 6mm ID
EGR VAC to VSV 27" of 4mm ID
Gas Filter to MAP 6" of 4mm ID
Gas Filter to VSV 6" of 4mm ID
Idle Up to Minifold 24" of 6mm ID
Idle Up to TB 12" of 6mm ID
VSV to Pres Reg No measurement
PCV no measurement
So, looking like 4mm being main size with some 6. I'll have to do some more measuring as soon as I can and get these ordered

Those are pretty good measurements. I figure 13' of 4mm ID and 4' of 6mm ID will get it done (add them up yourself to be sure). HT sells in minimum 10' sections, so you might have to get some friends involved for the 6mm ID (or just have a bunch extra).
This is from my 94NA with Cruise Control.

Spidey I am fairly sure that the hose sizes you posted are for the 5SFE 2.2 MR2.

I've ordered a set for myself and Swagger. I took a look at the engine bay last night and even though that was for the 2.2 5SFE, I think 4mm and 6mm will get a good lot done. Was only 23 euro each incl postage for 4m each of 4mm ID and 2m each of 6mm ID.
So, I'll do a test run and then report back and hopefully be able to tell everyone you need Xm of 4mm, Ym of 6mm etc

Hey Spidey when you install the new hoses make sure they are nice and neat. You don't want them untidy looking like a . . . . . . . . . . . . . web
