I realise this might be a bit of a swing and a miss post. Thought id throw it up anyway. We're all connected through a love of 20+ yr old sports cars and I thought it might be interesting to see the differences in age that Mr2 ownership attracts (+ I've always been intrigued to know how old some of you guys might be)

I'll start things off. Im (a young) 33

i remember de sw20 as a new car when i was in my teens and have loved em since, im 31 now, bought my first at 18 a 91 uk 3sfe and have had near 20 since

39.. and I go back to the mk 1 in the 80's 80's 4 life.....

28. Pretty much full blown obsession with Japanese cars since fast and the furious. I love those cheesy ass movies.

39 same as Greg, a Toyota gene was identified in my blood at birth.

Only car without a Toyota badge I owned was a Mazda 323 at 15.

The Kawasaki AR-80, Kawasaki Ar-125, 1976 Yamaha RS 125, 1992 CBR400RR, 1998 CBR600F3, 1985 CBX750F, Racing sidecar with GSXR 1100 K series engine, and a ZZR 1100 engined one also.

I didn't step much away from the Toyota fold on four wheels.
Corrolla's, Celica's, Carina's, MR2's, Landcruisers, Hilux.

22 this is only my 2nd car my first car was a rover 45 most underated car ever but i love my 2 but im not much of a toyota man i love all cars really, except the new minis i hate them so much bring on the old mini any day

I only came to appreciate Mr2's in the past year to be honest-now I love them. its my first car aswell!

If I could control myself on a bike I would be having one of those, but alas my next bike will be an unfaired machine as you can only go over 100 for so long before the wind tires you out.

Really cracking bike, beautiful too. Had a reputation for being a bit tank slapper happy cos of the 16inch front wheel but I never experienced that-had several of those on the more modern R1's though! A bit more upright than more modern sports bikes so easier to deal with over long distances as less stress on wrists and lower back. I took mine to the Assen GP in the Netherlands last year-greatest week of my life. Sold it in May as couldnt afford to keep car and bike Thankfully the Mr2 goes some of the way to scratching my motorbike itch!

I've heard people say that driving an MR2 is about as close as you can get to motorbike style handling. My uncle was a mad biker back in the 60's and 70's and he loved driving my mk2. I've never had a bike so wouldn't have a clue, what do ye reckon?

Anyway, back on topic, I'm 28, only driving since 24.

Had my MR2 for two and a half years now. Before that I had a Fiat Punto, a Volvo 480 and a Hyundai Accent was my first car.

Ive had 11 corolla GTis, 3 ae86 rwd corollas, 4 st205s, 4 st185s, 1 st182, 6 st202s, 3 rev3 turbos, 1 rev4 N/A, 6 rev1/2 turbos, 10?rev1/2 N/A, 2 avensis, 4 carinas, 20+ e9/e10/e11 corollas, 1 ae114 4wd corolla, 1 ae101 4wd corolla, 1 ae95 4wd corolla, 1 rav4, 2 ep70 starlets, 1 ae85 levin, and non toyotas- 1 pajero, 1 bmw 530d e39 and 1 bmw 320i e36, 1 bmw 320i e30 and i had a nissan sunny for awhile.......
At the mo i just have a D4D mr2 and a corolla 4x4 that ive had since '03!

Not a bad collection there, some really nice cars......but.....a seicento? really?

The seicento was a sporting hahah and was at the same time as my imprezza!! I was supposed to use the cheap runner for work instead of pumping 160 a week petrol into the scooby!!! I still ended up using the Scooby!! So sold both of them and bought my 96 mr2 turbo

24 and I've been a big fan of MR2 for quite a while.
Owned my first one back in 07.

Stopped counting after 40 but rumour has it i am 42

Have had MR2's for last 13 or so years - 91 G Limited and then 92 t-bar turbo, 93 red t-bar turbo (gen3) turbo and then NA SW20 Spider which turned into a Turbo Spider.

Spider is now the bane of my life but i could never see me parting with it. ON a nice day with the top down, (IMO) it is just plain hot !

Yea around 18 the mk1 jeez I loved that car!!! Was cool little thing!! Only car I ever kept properly clean only sold it cos 2 front wings started to bubble and I didn't have the money to change them was mint other than that!! Pure retro cool I thought anyway

29 and always wanted an MR2 since I can remember...I've led a very sheltered life in terms of car ownership...I get a good run out of my cars.
