Thanks quandary.I actually seen these yday. Was interested in the one that's 179 pounds because I thought you could clean the filter instead of replacing it and I like that it has a kind of heat shield on it.I emailed them to ask and am still waiting on a reply.. Wonder would it be better to get one you can clean or just replace at every interval?

I have one of the washable ones. The filters themselves are huge so if you do a good job of cleaning/oiling it, you can get away with only doing that once every 6 months or so.

Ya I want the cleanable 1.. Might get the one that's on that site and make up a cold intake and cover it in a way so it's not sucking in any hot air..did you do anything like this?
