limiter problem at 3.5 to 4000 rpm 10 Years, 7 Months ago Karma: 2
hi lads and lassies, I was looking at an mr2 turbo this morning 92 model, when revving the car in neutral it seemed to be on the limiter between 3 and 4ooo rpm, so I thought when driving it it would go out of it but was still hitting the limiter at 3 to 4000rpm, the car seemed to be fine on idle and there was no misfire or anything until it hit 3 to 4000rpm, the car is standard apart from an exhaust system, I crossed the diagnostic terminals at te1 to e1 and the engine light flashed at a constant speed, and the ecu seems to be a standard unit, has anybody had that limiter problem before or have any solution to what it might be?????? as I don't want to part with hard earned cash before I buy, thanks for looking at the thread, any help or info would be greatly appreciated
there,s also Clifford alarm on it too, don't know if that might have anything to do with it.

thanks......
