it lives! she started today, after a long week, i burnt out the loom the other day due to a slight "miscalculation" so another wiring loom and some long days reworking the new loom with the knowledge of what was wrong the first time, she started first tip of the key.
No new photos as very little has changed but ill get a video up in the next few days when i get the exhaust sorted

Its weird smelling the diesel fumes in the shed......coming from an mr2! it wudnt start the last few days, i was seriously confused, also the EML wasnt working, but it now has an OBD11 connector so i plugged in the computer to see if it wud pick up any faults, but as soon as i plugged it in, the entire loom started to smoke and fuse together. It was one wire getting a live when it shudnt have, so even thou it needed a new loom it was a good thing as it showed me the problem.

About 15 minutes the far side of Mullingar, I could meet you there though when you need it.

Anyway-back to the mr, had bother with some electrical systems, had to rewire them from scratch as losing the original ecu has played havok with alot of things, man problems were the P/S system, headlight retract system and the climate control unit, all working now thanks to the help of these....
_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG
was waiting a few weeks for the machine shop to finish my drives, they had to be custom made as the originals wudnt work,so got them in today and took the car down off the lift and for aa quick spin round the yard-gears are all selecting which im relieved about as the gearbox was a custom job too.
Here she is today, ready for the spray shop in the morning and the a final assembly when i get it back

My new seats, ive had a few sets of these in past mr2s, and these are the cleanest original set ive seen, bolsters are really good, barely any sign of wear, need a good valet now as the cat has been sleeping on them last month or 2!

was out at sprayers today and the car is finally red!
he actually sprayed it white first, not sure exactly why but he says it brings up the red better than just red over grey primer, 5 coats of laquer really sets of the red, looking forward to getting it back now......

Julius red is my fav mr2 colour-thou this isnt the toyota 3E5 red, its off a piaggio mini moto-we compared a sample of this and the 3e5 and it was way nicer so even thou it wasnt toyota colour we went with it. Cost of respray or entire build?
Infamous, im bitting my nails with impatience! See the diesel suits me as its an everyday car,
