I need some new rear tyres for my standard original 15" Toyota rims. I currently have Potenza 225x50xR15's on but they are showing some signs of cracking dur to age. Plenty of thread left.

I am finding it difficult to get a good 225 size option so might have to go to 215 or 205. Camskill tell me that the 225 is obsolete!!!

Question is what difference will there be if any. I will not be racing it so don't reckon it will be an issue.

Anyone ever use Toyo Proxes T1-R 225/50/R15?

The Toyo's are OK for normal driving sidewalls are a bit soft and can make the car feel likes its wallowing upping the pressure I believe can cure this.

I actually used them proxies for a mondello track day, unreal grip but you dont wanna be spinning wheels with them because of soft rubber compound they will wear away quickly.
The warmer they get the better they grip but not so great in the rain.

Have you considered the Falken Ze912 225s? Im running them on the back on mine and find them pretty decent - think eiretyres are better priced for these than camskill

let me know how you go on the front ones mine will need changing soon enough.
