put some big ass tires on them and only have them on the back, you'll look like you're on the way to the drag strip!!!! Wont get too many lads in glanzas/civics trying to race you with that set up!

Yeah was thinking that myself but i havent had anyone race me since i got this car 3 yrs ago lol.
But ye i just put 2 on the back for now, ill put the other 2 on the front and if it looks good ill leave 4 chrome ones on, or if not ill just have the 2 chrome on the back
They do look a lot better in person, the rim is not as shiny in the pic

Thanks
These rims were for sale for 400 with tyres in my garage for nearly a yr now, they came off some american jeep and had big bulky 255/70/15 tyres on them, i measured the stud pattern on the rims and they were same as mr2 so i decided to take the massive tyre off to see if they will actually fit the mr2 which they did so I was actually gonna put them up for sale on this site thats why i took pics of the rim on the floor first, then decided to put a tyre on the rim and try it on my car, after seeing them on my car i think ill be keeping them now lol.

I tried them rims on the front and the caliper wont let it sit flush on the brake disc.
I thought of getting 10mm spacer for the front but they stick out wider on the front than the back as it is and i dont like it, so ill probably leave them 2 on the back for now.

BUMP^^^

Got a plastic box from an electrical shop to clean up the wires in the boot.

_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG

_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG

_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG
Fitted a little temp gauge for the temp of the coolant in the chargecooler.

_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG
And a switch which will be used to link the 2 terminals in the diagnostics plug to read error codes or adjust timing :)

_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG
I expected the end result to be better.
It looks a bit better but its still a mess... i dont know how some guys do it.

_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG

_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG

And can anyone tell me wtf this is?? its behind the passenger on the left wall just under the speaker, linked into the harness running from passenger footwell to the back of the car.

Re: My mr2 from when i first laid my eyes on her... 10 Years, 4 Months ago Karma: 72
I decided to go ahead and install the 4 branch manifold today, ran into a few problems on the way..

_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG
Pulled the whole thing out, seems to be the easyest way to do it if the engine is in the car.

_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG
I split the turbo and used the exhaust housing which i already prepared with the bigger holes,

_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG
Had to makes the holes bigger in the gasket too

_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG
Had to get different bolts to match the thread in the manifold

_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG
Bolted on nicely

_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG
The other half of the turbo back on

_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG
And now to puth the chargecooler back on... It wont fit!!

_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG

It cant be fitted to a car with a chargecooler so unfortunately the chargecooler will be replaced with an intercooler :(

And can anyone tell me why my turbine wheel is so white??

Hi max never had a charge cooler before didnt realise it was goin to be a problem sorry. I can take it back if you need.i would imagine its a ceramic turbo is why its white.

Re: My mr2 from when i first laid my eyes on her... 10 Years, 3 Months ago Karma: 72
Went ahead with fitting everything today and then ran into another problem, the manifold is too close to the turbo and will end up melting the rubber pipe.
So its abort mission, everything is going back the way it was

_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG

Its cool man thanks ill keep it because it looks pretty lol
Ill be getting a bigger turbo anyway when something cheap comes up and ill use that manifold then.

Them both turbos are from a gt4 celica st205. i scraped some of that carbon buildup from the black one and its white underneath aswel... i thought its ceramic aswel but arent the st205 turbos steel???

Hi if its steel it should conduct power try hooking it up between a bulb and a battery from one fin to another and see if it lights its steel if not ceramic.

Would you not try make up a steel extension pipe from the turbo entry and connect up the usual piping after u bypass the manifold???

Nah its too much messing and the weld probably wont look pretty,
Easyest thing to do is twist the turbine housing up away from the manifold and extend the acutator rod but i didnt even want to do that because it wont look right.

Finally found the courage to fiberglass the scoop.

_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG

_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG
Gonna paint it tomorrow and get it carbon wrapped :)

Got the light flywheel in the post today and compared to the original one its VERY light and looks better too :)

_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG

_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG

And ill be putting on a different gearbox for now while i rebuild the green one, i think they are both lsd.

_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG

Anyone got any info, tips or tricks on rebuilding gearboxes, ive never done it before, im expecting all the sprockets and gears to just pour out of it when i open it up.

Thanks Bommie i will

Finished spraying the boot, i was using black paint at first then i ran out so i had to use the white which i had left, thats why it turned out like that, didnt spray the plastic scoop because there is no need, just need to get it carbon wrapped now.

_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG
Got the gearbox on today and for some reason it was a struggle to get it on, always went on nicely in the past, got it on in the end anyway.

_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG
Got the engine in aswel, hopefully ill be driving her home tomorrow :)

_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG
Putting TRD springs on the front, already have the back ones on.

_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG

Cant wait to see what its gonna be like with the light flywheel.

Light flywheel is awesome guys!
big difference.
Quicker on take off,
Smoother when changing gears especially when shifting down gears the engine rpm drops quicker and matches the gearbox speed really smoothly and barely any jerking.
Car hasnt cut out on me even once yet on takeoff.
When cruising along in 5th gear at 2000rpm and put the foot down it picks up speed a lot quicker.
I think its a bit better on fuel too since it dosent have to keep spinning the extra weight.
Cant fault it in any way, i dont see why they didnt make the flywheel light from factory and save a bit of money on steel.

And here are a few pics of the car finally going.
